India vs New Zealand Live Score, T20 World Cup Final 2026: Axar Patel removes dangerous Finn Allen

India vs New Zealand Live Score, T20 World Cup Final 2026: Sanju Samson’s blistering 89 off 46 balls powered India national cricket team to a mammoth 255-5 against New Zealand national cricket team in the T20 World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.

The in-form Samson, following scores of 97* and 89 in his previous two innings, smashed five fours and eight sixes, thrilling a crowd of over 100,000.

India are aiming to make history: becoming the first team to retain the T20 World Cup, the first to win on home soil, and the first to secure a third T20 crown.

An explosive opening stand of 98 with Abhishek Sharma, who scored 52 off 21 balls, set the platform for India’s second-highest total of the tournament, surpassing 256 against Zimbabwe in the Super Eights.

Abhishek waited an over before unleashing his shots, and Samson joined in to punish New Zealand’s bowlers all over the ground. India raced to 92 in the first six overs of the powerplay.

Rachin Ravindra broke the stand with left-arm spin, sending Abhishek back caught behind after his second fifty of the tournament.

Samson was joined by Ishan Kishan, who contributed 54, and together they tore through New Zealand’s attack. Samson reached his third consecutive T20 World Cup fifty, smashing Ravindra for three successive sixes.

Jimmy Neesham struck back with a three-wicket over, dismissing Samson, Kishan, and skipper Suryakumar Yadav for a duck — the latter two on successive balls.

Shivam Dube finished in style, hitting 26 off eight balls*, including three fours and two sixes off Neesham in the final over.

Now, face a record chase if they are to win their first T20 World Cup title
