Mahendra Singh Dhoni (born July 7, 1981) is a legendary Indian wicket-keeper-batter and captain, widely considered one of the greatest leaders in cricket history. He is the only captain to win all three major ICC trophies: the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy. Known for his calm demeanor ("Captain Cool") and finishing skills, he led India to the top of the Test rankings in 2009.

International: Debuted in 2004, retiring in 2020. Scored over 10,000 ODI runs at an average exceeding 50.

IPL: Led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to five IPL titles (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, 2023).

Style: Known for the "helicopter shot," quick stumping reflexes, and high-pressure finishing.

Awards: Recipient of the Padma Bhushan (2018), Padma Shri (2009), and Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna (2008).

Military: Holds an honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment of the Territorial Army. 

Born in Ranchi, Bihar (now Jharkhand), Dhoni's life was adapted into the film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). He continues to represent CSK in the IPL as of 2024.
